Join Me in Supporting Huckleberry House at Sleep Out!

In Franklin County, Ohio alone, over 3,000 young people experience homelessness. Many young people avoid shelters or formal systems to protect themselves from unsafe situations — and instead choose couch-surfing, staying in overcrowded spaces, or wooded areas.

Huckleberry House Teen Crisis Shelter is a beacon of hope and a safe haven for minor youth who don't know where else to turn. It provides shelter, support, and guidance to young people in difficult situations. Between July 1 and Nov 30, 2024, Huckleberry House provided more than 900 nights of safe shelter for 140 young people ages 12-17. This foundational work seeks to resolve challenges and transition young people to a safe and stable home.

This year’s Sleep Out theme—"Homelessness doesn’t have one face, one story, or one place"—reminds us that youth experiencing homelessness come from all walks of life, and their journeys deserve recognition and action.

With your support, we’re Building a Foundation, Together. Every dollar you give helps Huckleberry House provide essential shelter, counseling, and resources that empower young people in Central Ohio to find stability and success.
